Sterilisation or CIP Certificate
Instruments used by industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage and food manufacturing must be tested, disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, and sterilised for future use. In many cases, a sterilisation certificate is also required. Here at CCI, we’re a leading provider of certification, calibration and instrumentation in the brewer/winery, dairy, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries. We comply with all third-party auditors and assist with all interactions. The CCI team will assist companies in complying with any statutory export authorities. We use NATA certified equipment, the authority that provides independent assurance of technical competence through a proven network of best practice industry experts.
Certification Vs Calibration
The process of certification involves comparing a measurement device of unknown uncertainty (the ‘device under test’ or DUT) against an item of known uncertainty (the ‘reference’). Calibration takes place if an adjustment is made as a result of this comparison, in order to bring the DUT closer to the reference. The procedures that are used to perform the work. Some also use the terms verification and certification interchangeably. However, it’s important to note that verification is the process, and certification is the end result. Whether you require instrument certification or calibration, CCI can help.
Recertification of Instruments
If your company has a specific mandate in place regarding recertification intervals, those are the minimum standards that should be adopted. However, mandates should always be subject to review in light of evidence-based assessment. For example, a device kept in a laboratory isn’t subjected to the same wear-and-tear as a field device. Conversely, a device used to perform a high number of critical measurements should have a much shorter period of review than one used sporadically. We understand that time is money, and you don’t ever want to be in the situation of having to re-check your work when a calibrator is found to be widely out of tolerance. For this reason, we highly recommend that clients with a large inventory of measurement devices institut traceable site standards. For assistance and advice, speak with us today.
